The board of Johannesburg City Power has cleared its CEO Tshifularo Mashava of allegations of nepotism, unqualified appointments and irregular procurement processes .
The entity says investigations conducted by an independent law firm found no facts to substantiate the allegations that the CEO inflated payments to contractors.
City Power Spokesperson Isaac Mangena says the probe revealed that Mashava did not influence hiring processes of alleged family members.
