Citro-Soda recall action is under way after the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority SAHPRA said specific batches of the popular product must be removed from shelves following a safety concern, reports Cape town Etc .
SAHPRA said the recall covers Citro-Soda Regular 60g, 120g and 4g x 30 sachets produced at Adcock Ingram's Clayville facility in Johannesburg.
The regulator said the recall follows the identification of a potential foreign material contamination during an inspection at the Clayville factory. SAHPRA classified the recall as Class II Type A and dated it 17 March 2026.
