The N2 northbound from the M7 in Durban has been closed due to a cash in transit CIT heist near Chesterville.
Emergency services are on the scene after a CIT vehicle was bombed twice. A security guard was injured and has been transported to a nearby hospital. ALS Paramedics spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson says residents and passing motorists were seen looting the cash from the bombed vehicle.
He is advised motorists to avoid the area and find alternative routes as the area remains an active crime scene.
