Financial sector development consultancy Cenfri is partnering with the Central Bank of Lesotho CBL to develop the country's next National Payments Strategy NPS.
As part of the process, Cenfri representatives Antonia Esser, Barry Cooper, and Maqhobosheane Regina Mohlerepe recently visited Lesotho to facilitate a stakeholder workshop and conduct key informant interviews. The engagements involved CBL departments, financial service providers, and other industry stakeholders, focusing on reviewing and refining draft strategic pillars for the payments strategy.
The discussions aimed to ensure the strategy addresses key challenges in Lesotho's financial system while meeting the needs of consumers, businesses, service providers, and public institutions.
