Witnesses reported that the cyclist, aged 72, collapsed in front of the tidal pool, prompting immediate action from nearby bystanders who quickly contacted emergency services. Despite the rapid arrival of medical professionals, who administered CPR at the scene, the man could not be revived and was declared dead shortly thereafter.
