Transport Minister Barbara Creecy says Cabinet has approved the appointment of an interim board at the Road Accident Fund RAF .
The Minister announced sweeping changes to the leadership of two major state-owned entities SOEs,RAF and South African Airways SAA, while g iving an update on the boards of directors of some SOEs that fall under her department.
Creecy has confirmed the appointment of Kenneth Brown as interim chairperson of the appointed interim RAF board.
Brown, a former senior official at the National Treasury and current board member of the Development Bank of Southern Africa, will lead the RAF for the next six months or until a permanent board is appointed.
The previous board was dissolved on July 15 due to governance failures, financial mismanagement, and leadership instability
