Chinese new energy vehicles NEV manufacturer BYD says it is planning to expand its dealer network in South Africa from the current 18 to 30 by the end of the first quarter of 2026.
This follows a landmark 2025 - its most successful year in the local market since its debut in 2023.
Its commercial growth mirrors a growing local appetite for more affordable car models, which have often been Chinese , and electric vehicles EV.
