Burkina Faso Strengthens Learning: Rte Goes Live With 15 New Computers

On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the Ministry of Digital Transition, Postal and Electronic Communications officially launched the Educational Television Broadcasting RTE in Ouagadougou. The launch ceremony was presided over by Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo, represented by the Minister of State in charge of Territorial Administration, emile Zerbo, and attended by Dr. Aminata Zerbo/Sabane, Minister of Digital Transition, Postal and Electronic Communications.

The RTE will broadcast over 30 programs focused on citizenship, education and training, health, sport, environmental awareness, cultural values, and digital innovation. The initiative is designed to transform learning and knowledge dissemination for students across Burkina Faso, with a particular emphasis on rural and underserved areas. By providing educational content through radio and television, the government aims to make education more inclusive and equitable for all.

To support the RTE's operations and enhance the capacity of the Ministry of Basic Education, the Ministry of Digital Transition donated 15 computers. This contribution underscores the government's commitment to leveraging digital tools to improve education and promote widespread access to knowledge.
