President Mbigha announced his resignation from the national fourth vice presidential position via a letter sent to President Samuel Etoo Fils of FECAFOOT this Friday, September 12 citing failure to keep his promises to the people of Southwest and Northwest due to recurrent interference from a quarter he didnt mention.

His resignation makes him the second vice president to step aside, following Njalla Quan Jnr decision to quit the role less than two years ago.

In his detailed communication to president Etoo Mr Mbigha expressed both gratitude and disappointment about his stint at FECAFOOT.

Sir, I write to notify you of my decision to resign from my position of 4th Vice President of the Cameroon Football Federation and Member of the Executive Committee, effective from this Friday September 12, 2025.

This decision is due to the fact that I have been unable to perform my duties assigned to me in the North West and South West regions due to the persistent influence which has made it difficult for us to freely enjoy football, the letter from the former FECAFOOT Northwest president stated.

Mbigha, former player of Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda and founder of Hilltop Strikers FC replaced Njalla Quan Jnr who also resigned under two years ago, citing similar reasons went on to apologize for his decision and vowed to add value elsewhere henceforth.

To those who were looking up to me in the Cameroon Football Federation, I regret the inconveniences this resignation will cause. This resignation will permit me to concentrate on other endeavors with the hope to contribute towards building peace and development in my community and the country as a whole per the guidelines of the Head of State.

Thank you for the opportunity to have served in this role and also contribute to the development of football in Cameroon. I wish the Cameroon Football Federation success in their endeavors.

Though he is quitting FECAFOOT, Mbigha Felix has written his name in the glory books of Northwest and Cameroon football. History will remember him as the FECAFOOT president who guided Foncha Street FC, Rangers of Bafut and Bafmeng United FC to the MTN Elite Two championship. He will also be remembered as the FECAFOOT president that guided PWD to two Cup of Cameroon final, from which they won one, plus helped the Club win the MTN Elite One championship in 2020.

Above all, Mbigha who remains the Mayor of the Bamenda 1 council masterminded the construction if the historic Bamenda Proximity stadium that was recently inaugurated.

The resignation of Mbigha means he joins the likes of Parfait Siki, Benjamin Banlock, Njalla Quan Junior, Kwemo Patience, Joseph Feutcheu, Pondi Benjamin amongst others who occupied strategic positions when he came to power in December 2021.

Etoo four-year mandate at FECAFOOT will run out in November during which fresh elections will be organized.
