Build One South Africa BOSA has called on government to scrap the 30 pass mark and replace it with a minimum 50 pass requirement.
On Monday, the party held demonstrations outside the matric results centre in Johannesburg ahead of the official results announcement.
BOSA says the current pass mark jeopardises students ability to access institutions of higher education, while this ultimately affecting their employability.
