Defence counsel for alleged underworld crime figure, Jerome Booysen, has continued to challenge the credibility of a state witness, known as Mr X, in the Brian Wainstein murder trial.
During cross-examination in the Western Cape High Court, advocate Amanda Nel focused on a document Mr X claims that shows his intention to cooperate with authorities.
Nel pointed out that the document that Mr X provided to the investigator was only created months after his first bail application failed and questioned whether it was based on a single interview with investigators.
