Cape Town's rugby faithful have a new reason to celebrate, as the Springboks' second official retail store opened at Canal Walk this week, drawing crowds eager to get their hands on the latest off-field Bok gear, Cape town Etc reports.
The launch follows the success of South Africa's first Springbok retail store, which opened in Sandton City just three months ago. The new Canal Walk outlet expands SA Rugby's retail footprint, giving Cape Town fans a chance to shop official Nike replica teamwear and a stylish new range of casual Springbok-branded clothing.
The stores unveiling was marked by a star-studded event on Wednesday evening, attended by Springbok standouts Babalwa Latsha, Cobus Reinach, Cheslin Kolbe, Frans Malherbe, Lood de Jager and Selvyn Davids. Western Cape Premier Alan Winde joined SA Rugby President Mark Alexander for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, underscoring the province's pride in hosting the national team's newest flagship store.
