Bournemouth have completed the signing of Ben Doak from Liverpool in a deal worth 25 million, with the 19-year-old Scottish winger putting pen to a five-year contract. Liverpool has secured a buy-back clause in the agreement, underlining their long-term belief in Doak's potential despite allowing him to leave.
Softfootball understands that the move, which includes an initial 20m fee plus 5m in add-ons, was finalised shortly after Doak was left out of Liverpool's opening-day squad against Bournemouth on August 15, a game Bournemouth lost 4-2 despite Antoine Semenyos brilliant brace .
The Scotland international becomes the Cherries' fourth signing of the summer as Andoni Iraola continues to rebuild his squad following several high-profile departures.
