South Africa will begin its quest for a second successive WAFCON title on Monday against Ghana at the Honneur Stadium in Oujda.
Kickoff is at 6pm CAT.
Banyana Banyana claimed their first WAFCON title in Morocco in 2022 after five failed finals appearances. They clinched the title with a 2-1 victory over the host nation courtesy of a brace from Hilda Magaia. They will now have to defend their title in the country where they earned it.
South Africa will have to tussle with Mali and Tanzania as well as Ghana in group C en route to a return to the finals.
Head coach Dr Desiree Ellis is confident in her sides preparation but knows Ghana will have prepared equally as thoroughly.
