The Department of Higher Education has emphasised that a Bachelors pass in matric does not automatically guarantee a university spot and encourages prospective students to explore multiple options within the post-school education and training PSET system.
This as universities throughout the country have limited spaces and are inundated with applications for the 2026 academic year.
