The Eastern Cape Department of Transport has once again raised concerns over the issue of drunk driving on the provinces roads. 450 motorists have been arrested for driving under the influence since the 12th of this month.
Department Spokesperson, Unathi Binqose, says lawbreakers will be dealt with decisively.
Each of the 451 drunk and driving arrests represents a conscience decision to break the law and endanger lives. Our message is if you drink and drive in our province, you will be arrested and you may well spend your Christmas behind bars. We are pleading with you, do not drink and drive, and please play by the rules at all times.
