Australia has recorded the second-biggest win in terms of runs, as they achieved a mammoth 276-run victory over South Africa. They scored a huge 431 runs in their innings, with the top three hitting centuries.
After having lost the first two games in the series, the Australians were not left hopeful, as a result of which they even dropped Josh Hazelwood from the playing XI for the final ODI. After having won the T20I series 2-1, they lost the ODI series 2-1 however, they would still head back with their heads held high.
It is due to their remarkable performance in the final ODI, which included their top three batters hitting form and registering a world record win in the history of ODI cricket.
