The trial-within-a-trial in the R255 million asbestos roof removal corruption case is expected to resume in the Free State High court in Bloemfontein tomorrow morning.
Judge Phillip Loubser adjourned proceedings last week to allow the prosecution to bring its next witness.
The trial-within-a-trial seeks to establish whether the court has jurisdiction to try Moroadi Cholota , who is the former personal assistant of then Free State premier, Ace Magashule.
Cholota has submitted that her extradition from the United States was unlawful.
The second state witness that is expected to take the stand will be another investigator, who is one of the two officers who met with Cholota in the USA in September 2021.
