The Artscape, a theatre once reserved for a privileged few, is opening its doors wider than ever as Artscape marks 55 years of performance, transformation and cultural exchange.
The Artscape Theatre Centre will celebrate the milestone on 19 May 2026 under the theme A Place for All , reflecting a journey that mirrors South Africa's own path from division to inclusion.
The Artscape will begin its celebrations with an open press conference, followed by a lunchtime concert.
