The African National Congress ANC Youth League has expressed its support for ANC Member of Parliament Malusi Gigaba who has stepped aside from his duties after being charged with corruption relating to a multi-billion-rand Transnet tender for locomotives .
The former Public Enterprises Minister and his four co-accused appeared before the Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Crime Court on Tuesday over alleged corruption linked to the Gupta family.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the ANC welcomed the move saying that Gigabas decision reflects discipline, maturity and revolutionary consciousness expected of cadres .
