African National Congress ANC Treasurer General Dr Gwen Ramokgopa says party policies are immune from business influence. She was speaking to the media on the sidelines of the ANC Annual Progressive Business Forum underway at Sun City outside Rustenburg. This is a build up to the partys 114th anniversary celebrations planned for tomorrow at the Moruleng stadium.
Before the promulgation of the Party Funding Act, the ANC received over 70 of its funding from private businesses which some feared that it could make business to influence the policy trajectory of the ANC.
Dr Ramokgopa says they are now relying on funding from the government.
