The African National Congress ANC has had some scathing words for its biggest Government of National Unity GNU partner the Democratic Alliance DA, saying that clarity is needed on what the real make up of the GNU is.
This comes as a rift continues to grow between the two- parties, following the DAs refusal to support the adoption of the Fiscal Policy Framework in Parliament last week.
The parties have been at loggerheads, with cracks continuing to grow as the parties disagree on policy stances.
The ANCs national spokesperson, Mahlengi Bhengu Motsiri clarifies.
I also just need to debunk this myth that never disappears that were in a coalition with the DA, Helen Zilles narrative. Were not, were in a relationship with all the parties who are signatories to the Government of National Unity, were not in a coalition with a party that obtained 20-percent of the national vote share, when we have 40-percent of the national vote share, surely that cannot be correct. Were not sharing power with the DA, in a way theyre trying to reconstruct the narrative about the Government of National Unity.
