United States retail giant Walmart has announced plans to open its first branded stores in South Africa before the end of 2025.
This follows the retailers first Growth Summit held in April, it said in a statement on Tuesday 9 September.
The Summit featured suppliers from 12 African countries who showcased incredible innovations and products made, grown or assembled in Africa. Walmart recruited small and medium-sized Africa-based suppliers from the event.
