The African National Congress ANC in the Western Cape has filed a substantive motion against Premier Alan Winde for allegedly misleading the provincial legislature and the public regarding crime statistics in the province.
The legislatures Programming Authority has placed the motion, which was filed by the leader of the opposition Khaled Sayed , on the order paper for Thursdays 27 November sitting.
ANC faults Winde on crime claimThe ANC says during a sitting of the legislature on 2 October, Winde claimed that at the start of the Western Cape Safety Plan 1.0, the Western Cape was the murder capital of South Africa.
