Al Ahly Crash Out Of Caf Champions League On Away Goals

Al Ahly botched their hopes of clinching a record-extending CAF Champions League title, as Mamelodi Sundowns advanced to the final on away goals after a 1-1 draw in Cairo.
Following a goalless first leg in South Africa, the Egyptian giants took the lead through Taher Mohamed, who delivered from outside the box after a setup by Emam Ashour.
But the visitors silenced the Cairo International Stadium in the dying moments of the game when a low cross forced Yasser Ibrahim into an own goal.
Despite a late push and chances for Achraf Bencharki and Wessam Abou Ali, Al Ahly couldn't find the winner, and Sundowns held firm to book their place in the final.
The South African side are now unbeaten in nine straight meetings against Al Ahly and await the winner of Pyramids FC vs. Orlando Pirates in the final.
