The Department of Social Development in the Western Cape has launched what it says is the first of its kind transitioning facility for children whove been in conflict with the law.
The Fountain of Hope Intermediate Child and Youth Care Centre in Philippi is an attempt to close the gap for children who have been incarcerated for serious incidents, before being released back into communities.
Provincial Social Development Minister Jaco Londt says it is a Centre for young people who want to change.
