Two people, including a seven-year-old boy, have drowned in separate incidents at Mogalakwena and Modimolle in Limpopo.
Police divers have retrieved the body at Mogalakwena. The search for boy who drowned in the Tweestroom farming area in Modimolle is continuing.
Disaster management spokesperson, Tsakani Baloyi explains, At least two people including a seven-year-old boy have lost their lives in the Waterberg district while a number of homes have been destroyed within the Greater Tzaneen municipality and the Mopani district. The MEC has instructed departmental officials working together with disaster management in the worst affected areas to conduct the full assessment of the damage. This is to enable the department to properly intervene with relief efforts.
