The Western Cape Mobility Department says its Festive Season Road Safety Plan is one of its most extensive campaigns to date. The plan was launched in Beaufort West ahead of what promises to be a very busy holiday period in the province.
The department says 665 traffic officers will be deployed around the clock across the province, with a fleet of over 300 traffic vehicles in operation.
Part of the plan is fatigue-management interventions along long-distance routes such as the N1, N2 and N7.
