Amaju Pinnick, a former president of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has claimed that the national team failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup because of a change in the qualification format.
According to Pinnick, the Super Eagles would have made it if the format from 2018 was still in place.
He stated this while answering questions at the Big Sport Dialogu in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Monday.
