The Court of Arbitration for Sport, CAS, has dismissed an appeal by the Guinean Football Federation, FEGUIFOOT, to overturn Tanzania's qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The case centred on a shirt number irregularity from a qualifier on 19 November 2024, which Tanzania won 1-0.
Guinea argued that Tanzania fielded a player wearing the wrong shirt number, claiming it created an unfair tactical advantage and that the match should be forfeited 3-0 in their favour.
