- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
- Team leadership and supervisory skills
- Valid driver's license.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Check and authorize salary-related transactions including overtime, sessional allowances, and advances
- Control the instating of garnishee orders and the cancellation of voluntary deductions (e.g., insurance policies)
- Authorize local and foreign travel and subsistence (T&S) claims
- Oversee the monthly distribution and filing of PERSAL Item Analysis reports to financial institutions
- Clear, reconcile, and report on salary-related ledger accounts
- Manage leave and lump sum payments and compile monthly BAS/PERSAL interface reconciliations
- Resolve PERSAL exceptions on the Basic Accounting System (BAS)
- Manage debtor control by checking salary-related debt calculations and documenting debt transactions
- Manage Departmental PAYE, including recalculation of Income Tax and monthly EMP201/annual EMP501 submissions via SARS eFiling and e@syFile
- Handle SARS tax directives and the issuance/reissuance of IRP5 certificates
- Supervise subordinate performance, maintain office discipline, and manage functional enquiries.
