Minimum Qualification

  • Undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) or equivalent recognized by SAQA.
  • SCM or Financial Management qualification is an added advantage.

Experience Required

2 years in Acquisition Management and Public Sector Procurement

Required Competencies & Skills

  • Deep understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations
  • Knowledge of Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA)
  • Advanced financial management and reporting procedures
  • Proficiency in computerized SCM systems (e.g., LOGIS/BAS)
  • Strong negotiation and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent written communication for drafting bid specifications
  • Knowledge of transformation policies and B-BBEE requirements.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years experience in Acquisition Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related financial field.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate and execute the end-to-end formal bidding process for departmental procurement
  • Compile and maintain a robust list of prospective service providers for quotations
  • Source quotations from the Central Supplier Database (CSD) in strict accordance with National Treasury threshold values
  • Ensure an effective and compliant acquisition management service
  • Facilitate the evaluation and adjudication processes for bids and quotes
  • Ensure all procurement activities align with the departmental Procurement Plan.
