One-year practical experience in a law enforcement environment

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Execute the enforcement of Road Traffic and Public Passenger Transport legislation through planned operations
  • Facilitate traffic flow and safety by conducting point duty and securing accident scenes
  • Perform vehicle roadworthy inspections and conduct learner and driver licensing examinations
  • Participate in specialized operations including speed testing, roadblocks, and overload control management
  • Execute arrests and issue infringement notices in compliance with legal directives and give evidence in court
  • Provide visible policing through road patrols and escorting of abnormal vehicle loads
  • Ensure strict compliance with the Firearms and Ammunition Act during operational activities
  • Maintain administrative records and participate in crime prevention and professional service delivery initiatives
