Requirements
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Execute the enforcement of Road Traffic and Public Passenger Transport legislation through planned operations
- Facilitate traffic flow and safety by conducting point duty and securing accident scenes
- Perform vehicle roadworthy inspections and conduct learner and driver licensing examinations
- Participate in specialized operations including speed testing, roadblocks, and overload control management
- Execute arrests and issue infringement notices in compliance with legal directives and give evidence in court
- Provide visible policing through road patrols and escorting of abnormal vehicle loads
- Ensure strict compliance with the Firearms and Ammunition Act during operational activities
- Maintain administrative records and participate in crime prevention and professional service delivery initiatives
