Requirements
- Grade 1: Minimum of 4 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with SANC as Professional Nurse
- Grade 2: Minimum of 14 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with SANC, at least 10 years of which must be appropriate experience in the specialty after obtaining the 1-year post-basic qualification
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide advanced clinical nursing care within the child psychiatry specialty unit following evidence-based practices
- Act as a shift leader to supervise the implementation of nursing care plans and ensure quality patient outcomes
- Coordinate holistic nursing services to pediatric mental health patients in an efficient and equitable manner
- Enforce compliance with the Mental Health Care Act and other relevant nursing legislation and ethical standards
- Manage and optimize the use of human, material, and physical resources within the specialized clinical environment
