• Diploma/Degree in nursing plus a 1-year post-basic qualification in Occupational Health Nursing Science.
• Must possess a valid Dispensing Certificate.

4 Year in General Nursing and Midwifery

• Expertise in Occupational Health Nursing Science and health surveillance techniques
• In-depth knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and COIDA legislation
• Ability to work independently under pressure in a specialized clinical setting
• Clinical diagnostic skills for physical assessments and chronic illness management
• Proficiency in health communication and behavioral change strategies
• Skills in performing Occupational Risk Exposure Profiling (OREP)
• Knowledge of Employee Assistance Program (EAP) referral processes.

• Conduct physical assessments and health surveillance to identify and evaluate worker health needs and medical conditions
• Identify, analyze, and evaluate workplace hazards and their specific effects on employees
• Develop, implement, and oversee occupational health programs and health promotion campaigns
• Conduct Occupational Risk Exposure Profiles (OREP) at pre-employment, periodic, and exit stages
• Manage occupational injuries and diseases to minimize residual deficits and ensure COIDA compliance
• Provide professional and technical support for quality client care within the occupational health environment
• Promote health literacy and design programs that support positive lifestyle changes and disease prevention
• Identify needs for Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) regarding HIV, substance abuse, and psychosocial conditions
• Utilize IT management systems for information management and enhanced service delivery
• Manage and utilize human and material resources in accordance with relevant health directives and legislation.
