Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead and manage the enforcement of National Road Traffic and Public Passenger Transport legislation
  • Coordinate joint law enforcement operations with other departments (Co-operative Governance)
  • Provide tactical leadership and supervision to subordinate officers at the station level
  • Manage the accurate completion and filing of critical Law Enforcement Documents (Section 56, 341, and impoundment records)
  • Oversee vehicle inspections and the legal process for vehicle impoundment
  • Conduct accident and incident investigations while providing detailed technical reports
  • Manage the performance and discipline of staff in line with Labour Relations protocols
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks within the traffic law enforcement environment
  • Ensure high standards of service delivery and professional customer relationship management
