Minimum Qualification

  • Basic Traffic Officer's Diploma

Experience Required

6-10 years in Traffic Law Enforcement

Requirements

  • Active Registration as a Traffic Officer
  • 6-10 years' Traffic Law Enforcement experience
  • Valid Code A (Motorcycle) and EC (Heavy Articulated Vehicle) Driving Licenses
  • No Criminal Record

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage and enforce the National Road Traffic Act and Public Passenger Transport Legislation
  • Lead and coordinate joint law enforcement operations and inter-governmental projects
  • Provide tactical leadership and direction to a team of subordinates within the Traffic Information Office
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks within the law enforcement environment
  • Manage all administrative performance activities, including the accurate completion of law enforcement documentation
  • Oversee vehicle inspections and the impoundment process for non-compliant public transport vehicles
  • Ensure effective records management and maintain high standards of service delivery and customer relations
  • Conduct investigations and provide detailed reports on traffic law enforcement activities
