Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic)

Experience Required

Grade-dependent (0 to 13+ years) in Pharmaceutical Support and Stock Distribution

  • Proficiency in pharmaceutical stock management and procurement

  • Effective time management and interpersonal relations

Requirements

  • Grade 1: None (post-registration)

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Procure, store, and distribute medical stock throughout the clinical facility to ensure availability
  • Provide optimal counseling to patients regarding their medication and usage
  • Advise facility staff on medicine usage, relative costs, and cost-effective pharmaceutical practices
  • Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical support services to Primary Health Care (PHC) facilities in the district
  • Assist in the collection of clinical data and information for research purposes
  • Provide essential technical and administrative support to the District Pharmacist

Remunaration

  • Grade 1: R264750 PER ANNUM.
  • Grade 2: R306411 PER ANNUM.
