- Expert knowledge of PHC clinical nursing science and health assessment
- Proficiency in DHIMS and data-driven healthcare management
- Advanced understanding of the Nursing Act, Mental Health Act, and OH&S Act
- Leadership in conflict management, coaching, and multidisciplinary team building
- Ability to formulate patient care related policies and implementation strategies
- Competency in Ideal Health Facility Realization and OHSC standards
- Valid and unendorsed driver's license with proven driving competency
- Computer literacy in MS Office and health information systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of 9 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC
- At least 5 years of the required experience must be appropriate/recognizable experience after obtaining the one-year post-basic qualification in Primary Health Care.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Plan, organize, and monitor PHC facility objectives in consultation with District Management
- Oversee the provision of quality nursing care through strict implementation of clinical standards and policies
- Manage human, material, and financial resources effectively to ensure seamless service delivery
- Lead the implementation of the Ideal Health Facility Realization framework and OHSC prescripts
- Operate the District Health Information Management System (DHIMS) to produce and analyze top-end data
- Conduct periodical clinical audits and coordinate quality improvement programs
- Implement and monitor Infection Control, Prevention Protocols, and Occupational Health & Safety standards
- Manage labor relations, including disciplinary procedures and grievance handling according to existing policies
- Analyze health policy imperatives to develop customized implementation strategies for the service area
- Liaise with essential stakeholders and coordinate multidisciplinary team support from CHCs or district hospitals.
