Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide high-level administrative and strategic support services to the Office of the Deputy Director-General (DDG)
  • Conduct specialized research, analyze complex data sets, and draft technical reports or briefing notes
  • Coordinate and manage the DDG's executive schedule, engagements, and high-level meeting logistics
  • Oversee the financial and human resources of the office including procurement and budgeting processes
  • Ensure strict compliance with the PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and departmental policies
  • Implement knowledge management systems to streamline information flow within the line function
  • Monitor and review operational management practices to ensure alignment with provincial governance standards
  • Maintain an up-to-date repository of legislative prescripts and collective agreements affecting the unit
