Minimum Qualification

MBChB degree and MMed or FCPaed(SA) with Sub-Specialist registration in Paediatric Oncology

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide advanced diagnostic and therapeutic oncology services specifically for paediatric patients

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement comprehensive cancer treatment protocols
  • Conduct clinical audits and monitor clinical effectiveness indicators including mortality and morbidity
  • Lead academic training for undergraduate medical students and postgraduate registrars
  • Direct original clinical research in Paediatric Oncology and secure research funding
  • Provide institutional leadership through hospital committees and departmental policy development
