Requirements
- Grade 1: No experience required after registration as a Specialist
- Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years relevant experience after registration with HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years relevant experience after registration with HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide comprehensive clinical management of all obstetric and gynaecological conditions to ensure high-quality patient service
- Conduct patient briefing, informing, and counseling regarding prevention, treatment, operative procedures, complications, and rehabilitation
- Execute advanced resuscitative measures and intensive care treatments to ensure survival of critically ill patients
- Prescribe appropriate medications, order/interpret diagnostic tests, and lead surgical procedures
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior medical staff and interns to ensure clinical excellence
- Maintain accurate medical records and complete medico-legal documentation to mitigate litigation risks
- Ensure clinical governance and strict compliance with FSDoH, OHSC, HPCSA, and CMSA standards
- Manage outpatient consultations for chronic disease management and long-term follow-up
- Provide outreach and support services to other levels of care within the Free State Province drainage areas
- Conduct clinical audits and monitor effectiveness indicators to improve health outcomes.

- Grade 2: R1531032 - R1623609 PER ANNUM.
- Grade 3: R1773222 - R2212680 PER ANNUM ALL -INCLUSIVE PACKAGE CONSISTS OF 70% BASIC SALARY AND 30% FLEXIBLE PORTION THAT BE STRUCTURED IN TERMS OF THE APPLICABLE RULES, MEDICAL AID (OPTIONAL) EMPLOYEE MUST MEET THE PRESCRIBED REQUIREMENTS..
