Requirements
- Grade 1: No experience required after registration as a Medical Specialist with the HPCSA
- Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years appropriate experience after registration as a Medical Specialist in O&G
- Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years appropriate experience after registration as a Medical Specialist in O&G
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide high-quality clinical care in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology including consultation and diagnosis
- Manage treatment plans for patients and participate in compulsory commuted overtime and after-hours duties
- Implement community and outreach programs such as ESMOE (Essential Steps in the Management of Obstetric Emergencies) training
- Maintain ethical and legal record-keeping standards within the department
- Lead administrative and clinical governance meetings including mortality and 'near miss' reviews
- Author technical reports and clinical audits to monitor service effectiveness
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, interns, and community service doctors in clinical and research activities

- Grade 1: R1341855 - R1422810 PER ANNUM.
- Grade 2: R1531032 - R1623609 PER ANNUM.
- Grade 3: R1773222 - R2212680 PER ANNUM ALL -INCLUSIVE PACKAGE CONSISTS OF 70% BASIC SALARY AND 30% FLEXIBLE PORTION THAT BE STRUCTURED IN TERMS OF THE APPLICABLE RULES, MEDICAL AID (OPTIONAL) EMPLOYEE MUST MEET THE PRESCRIBED REQUIREMENTS..
