Requirements
- Grade 1: No experience required after registration as a Specialist
- Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years relevant experience after registration with HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Anaesthesiology
- Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years relevant experience after registration with HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Anaesthesiology.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide comprehensive perioperative clinical care including pre-operative assessment and post-operative management
- Manage all medical conditions within the anaesthetic domain to ensure competent patient service
- Execute resuscitative measures and intensive care treatments for critically ill patients
- Supervise and train junior medical staff and interns in key clinical interventions
- Maintain accurate medical records and complete medico-legal documentation to mitigate litigation risk
- Implement clinical governance and ensure compliance with statutory bodies (FSDoH, OHSC, HPCSA, CMSA)
- Conduct clinical audits and monitor clinical effectiveness indicators
- Perform outreach and support services to secondary and primary levels of care within the Free State province
- Execute commuted overtime as per provincial policy and departmental requirements.

- Grade 2: R1531032 - R1623609.PER ANNUM.
- Grade 3: R1773222 - R2212680 PER ANNUM ALL -INCLUSIVE PACKAGE CONSISTS OF 70% BASIC SALARY AND 30% FLEXIBLE PORTION THAT BE STRUCTURED IN TERMS OF THE APPLICABLE RULES, MEDICAL AID (OPTIONAL) EMPLOYEE MUST MEET THE PRESCRIBED REQUIREMENTS..
