Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Serve as a core member of the District Clinical Specialist Team to ensure high-quality pediatric and neonatal care across the district
- Drive equitable access to maternal and child healthcare services through strategic district-level oversight
- Oversee clinical effectiveness by implementing national policies, outreach programs, and standard treatment guidelines
- Lead the professional development, training, and clinical mentorship of healthcare staff in pediatric care (IMCI, ETAT, PMTCT)
- Collaborate with District Management to optimize health information systems, surveillance, and referral protocols
- Conduct clinical risk management activities including morbidity and mortality reviews and critical event analyses
- Implement robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to report on clinical outputs and child health outcomes
- Develop and audit clinical record tools in compliance with Office of the Health Standards Requirements (OHSC)
