Minimum Qualification

  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or B.
  • Degree (NQF Level 7) in Human Resource Management, Public Management, Public Administration, or Industrial Psychology

Experience Required

1-2 Years in Human Resource Administration and Staff Supervision

Required Competencies & Skills

  • Proficiency in PERSAL system administration
  • In-depth knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Public Service Regulations
  • Understanding of the Employment Equity Act and Labour Relations Act
  • Supervisory and leadership capabilities
  • Advanced reporting and statistical analysis skills

1-2 years' relevant experience in a Human Resource environment

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Administer and implement conditions of service and employee benefits including leave, housing, medical aid, and pension
  • Oversee the termination of service processes and exit interviews
  • Authorize and recommend HR transactions on the PERSAL system in accordance with departmental delegations
  • Facilitate and monitor the Performance Management and Development System (PMDS)
  • Compile comprehensive HR administration reports and statistical data for management
  • Resolve complex human resource inquiries and provide policy guidance
  • Supervise administrative staff through work allocation, quality control, and performance assessment
  • Implement disciplinary procedures and manage personnel development plans
