Minimum Qualification

MBChB degree and MMed (Orthopaedics) or FC (Ortho) SA allowing registration with HPCSA as a Medical Specialist

Experience Required

3 to 6 Years in Orthopaedic Surgery Specialist Practice & Clinical Leadership

Requirements

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Optimize clinical operations for Orthopaedics including ward management, operating theatre efficiency, and outpatient services
  • Deliver high-quality, cost-effective clinical care at Boitumelo Regional Hospital including mandatory after-hours and weekend coverage
  • Lead clinical governance through regular audits, Morbidity and Mortality (M&M) reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Strengthen patient safety measures, medico-legal risk reduction, and compliance with National Core Standards
  • Oversee the academic training of undergraduate and postgraduate students and participate in departmental research
  • Manage unit resources, conduct staff performance appraisals, and promote professional discipline and development

  • Grade 1: R2084754 - R2212680 PER ANNUM.
  • Grade 2: R2279559 - R2492571 PER ANNUM ALL -INCLUSIVE PACKAGE CONSISTS OF 70% BASIC SALARY AND 30% FLEXIBLE PORTION THAT BE STRUCTURED IN TERMS OF THE APPLICABLE RULES, MEDICAL AID (OPTIONAL) EMPLOYEE MUST MEET THE PRESCRIBED REQUIREMENTS..
