Minimum Qualification

Basic Education NQF Level 1 to 2 (Grade 9 or higher).

Experience Required

Entry Level / General Knowledge in Gardening and Grounds Maintenance

Required Competencies & Skills

Knowledge of ground keeping and garden maintenance
Proficiency in using manual and power gardening tools (mowers, trimmers, etc.)
Ability to follow technical instructions and standards
Basic verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Reliability and physical fitness for outdoor manual labor.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Maintain the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the facility grounds and gardens
Execute lawn cutting and trimming tasks according to established departmental standards
Provide general support services to the maintenance unit
Ensure that all gardening equipment and hand tools are cleaned, maintained, and kept in good working condition
Assist with garden layout and planting as directed
Report any damages or maintenance requirements on the grounds to the supervisor.
