  • Basic knowledge of Public Service financial legislation (PFMA, Treasury Regulations, DORA)
  • Proficiency in financial operating systems such as BAS, PERSAL, or LOGIS
  • High level of numeracy and aptitude for figures
  • Accuracy in data capturing
  • Basic financial reporting and collation of statistics
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Execute financial accounting transactions including receiving, verifying, and processing invoices for payment
  • Maintain robust internal controls through document verification and systematic filing
  • Provide comprehensive salary administration support by processing salary advices, bonuses, and statutory deductions
  • Perform bookkeeping services including supplier payments, creditor reconciliations, and clearing of suspense accounts
  • Record debtors and creditors and process electronic banking transactions via BAS/LOGIS
  • Compile and capture financial journals
  • Assist in budget support services by collecting expenditure data, identifying variances against budgets, and capturing authorized virements
  • Facilitate cash collection and the recording of cash payments.
