Minimum Qualification

- Advanced technical engineering and project planning capabilities

- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Quality Assurance standards

- Professional report writing and stakeholder management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience
- Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
- Proven experience in infrastructure programme and project planning
- Knowledge of IDMS and project implementation oversight.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and update the Infrastructure Programme Management Plan (IPMP) and Procurement Strategy in line with IDMS
- Prepare infrastructure budgets, final project lists, and detailed individual project briefs
- Facilitate the procurement of Professional Service Providers and Contractors as a member of SCM committees
- Monitor the implementation of infrastructure programmes by Implementing Agents (IA) to ensure adherence to Service Delivery Agreements
- Review and authorize Infrastructure Programme Implementation Plans (IPIP) and Project Execution Plans (Versions 2-7)
- Recommend Variation Orders and authorize payments according to financial delegations and contract management practices
- Oversee maintenance projects including day-to-day, routine, and emergency maintenance funded by the department
- Coordinate project commissioning, site visits, and update NEIMS/EFMS technical condition assessment data
- Conduct post-project and post-occupancy evaluations to provide feedback on technical norms and standards.
